Remember it’s not the gun that kills people, it’s the person behind the gun that does it.

As if we have complete control over how the equipment is being used when purchased by an ally. That the US is using the equipment on its own people after being purchased is supposed to make us complicit? When we sell equipment, do we ask how it will be used? Who it will be used against before deciding to finalize the purchase? Or do we have faith that the equipment will be used in the defence of their nation and the possible protection of ours as well? I’m sorry this equipment was used in this manner but to state Canada is complicit is a moral leap IMO.
