I’m Jake and I write about stuff.

I’m a left-wing political organizer, a freelance writer and photographer, and occasionally I show up on TV or radio.

When I’m not writing or taking photos or doing media talking about my writing or photos, I do some software programming as a hobby. You can find some of those projects on my GitHub as they become suitable for public consumption.

• Organized March Against OSAP Cuts at Queen’s Park to protest slashed funding for post-secondary schools in Ontario - January 2019

• Served as Deputy Campaign Manager for Mariam Manaa, the Ontario Liberal Candidate for Burlington and the first Palestinian nominated by any major political party in Ontario - Spring 2022

• Published op-ed in the National Post on the reactions of Canadian Jews to the Yaroslav Hunka affair - September 2023

• Interviewed with Jeremy Appel on the Orchardcast to discuss whether Canada should remain in NATO - May 2024

• Paid tribute to my grandfather Howard Miller in the Toronto Star - January 2025
